The Candace Waugaman Lantern Slide Collection consists of 251 glass lantern slides depicting primarily scenes of Alaska and the Yukon, and digital print copies of the images. It includes images of Chilkoot Pass and the Chilkoot Trail, placer and hydraulic mining operations, the fishing industry, the reindeer industry, Alaskan railroads, a number of Alaskan settlements, Alaska Natives, and scenery.

Candace "Candy" Waugaman, an Alaska resident since the late 1960's, has collected historical postcards and photographs, ephemera such as travel brochures, sheet music, books, and memorabilia from Alaska and the Yukon for over 20 years. Her personal collection numbers over 40,000. Ms. Waugaman's collection has been featured by the Anchorage Museum of History and Art for an exhibit, "Gold Fever in the North."
